Basement Waterproofing Service Areas Around Seattle, WA

This site accepts basement requests from all over Seattle, WA and from five nearby cities in King and Snohomish counties. Each request goes to one independent local contractor, who gets in touch and writes any estimate; the referral service itself never takes on basement work.

Our Coverage Area

The city of Seattle is the center of it all, from North Seattle down through West Seattle and South Seattle. Requests are welcome from every neighborhood, whether that's a Craftsman on Beacon Hill or a daylight basement in Magnolia. Inside city limits, SDCI handles most building permits, and Seattle Public Utilities takes reports of public sewer problems at (206) 386-1800.

Beyond Seattle, each of the five cities below is its own city, with its own permit center and its own sewer contacts. Each town page lists the local offices to reach.

Town-by-Town Guides

  • Shoreline, WA. About 9 miles north of downtown in King County, incorporated in 1995. Most homes went up after the war, and Ronald Bog, a headwater of Thornton Creek, holds floodwater in wet months.
  • Lynnwood, WA. About 16 miles north in Snohomish County. It began as Alderwood Manor, a 1917 planned farm colony, and the city runs its own wastewater treatment plant.
  • Kirkland, WA. About 10 miles northeast, across Lake Washington, with the highest median home value of the five. The City serves south Kirkland's sewers and Northshore Utility District the north.
  • Renton, WA. About 11 miles southeast in King County. The Cedar River broke its record there on December 11, 2025, and the city asks residents to reach Public Works Maintenance at 425-430-7400 before a plumber.
  • Burien, WA. About 10 miles south on Puget Sound, with the oldest homes of the five cities. Three separate sewer districts serve it, so check which one covers your street.

SDCI and Seattle Public Utilities serve Seattle only. In these five cities, permits come from the local permit center, though L&I contractor registration applies everywhere in Washington.

Your Town Isn't Listed?

Nearby places such as Edmonds, Lake Forest Park, Mountlake Terrace, SeaTac, Tukwila and Bothell have no pages here. The area check above gives a quick answer, or you can enter your address in the form and hear plainly whether anyone covers your street.

Where a contractor is available, it reaches out to you itself to discuss the project, and any written estimate comes from that company. Contractors may pay this site for advertising; sending a request costs you nothing, and you get nothing in return for it.
